Galaxy Women’s Softball Club
📌 Galaxy Women’s Softball was established in 2025 by a group of five ladies who had played together for several years. We wanted a small, one team only club who focused equally on training and playing hard and doing our best, but also on sportsmanship, friendship and positivity. We want to lift each other up, teach and learn from each other and have a genuinely great time. Galaxy were very proud to win the Division 2 women’s grand final in our debut season. We were also proud that two of our members, Kassy & Tracy, were awarded Best & Fairest, Runner Up Best & Fairest for the season and Grand Final MVP. Galaxy has no intention of expanding, we intend to remain as a close knit, one team club. Membership is via invitation.
⭐️ Galaxy was named in honour of Elliot Terry, who sadly passed away at the age of five. Our playing numbers map out the star constellation named after Elliot. Each year, Galaxy will celebrate “Forever 5” in honour of Elliot, with all of RCDSA getting involved; last season we raised over $1900 for Perth Children’s Hospital.
📍 Galaxy train once weekly during the season, and often hold an additional training with a batting focus for those available to attend. We commence fun pre season training early with weekend park sessions to dust off the cobwebs. We also do team beach walks and batting cage sessions. Socially we enjoy team lunches, get togethers, and enjoying a drink down at Lark Hill after the game.
📍Galaxy fees are kept as low as possible, while also avoiding the need for club fundraising. We were grateful last year to receive a total of $2000 in sponsorship from Red Venom Logistics and Rhodes Ceilings, which helped us get started with equipment and uniforms.
