Lots of work occuring on the surface of Diamond 2 this week.  Turf surrounding the troublesome cutouts was removed and truckloads of soil were taken away from the site.  The grounds crew discovered an excessive amount of clay, gravel and other undesirable things in the soil, so this was removed also and new soil brought in.  

I have included a picture so you can see the disparity in levels prior to the works.  It's definitely a lot more level now!

The ground is now level and new turf has been laid!  Providing we get enough sunshine and the turf takes roots properly, games will be ready to continue within a week!  Huge props to the ground crew at the Sportplex for turning this around so quickly!

I'll keep an eye on it during the week to ensure it takes properly - look for more updates!
